-go over notes: two Riel Rebellions, "Numbered Treaties," Indian Act, 1876
-return causal connection 
Tasks:
-create a Venn diagram about the two Metis rebellion
-make a timeline of Metis and Indigenous issues, 1867-1885 (just a few important dates)
-create a scroll of the Indian Act, 1876 (examine some of the 21 restrictions imposed on First Nations at some point in the 142-year history of the Indian Act. Click here.)

Oct. 2-5: Challenges in Canada's first decades & first test

-ensure booklet #2 is completed, including the map (textbook, p. 51: use blue or black pen; remember to include a legend; label first 4 provinces of Canada & outline them in red; label the three other British colonies & outline them in orange; label Rupert's Land & outline it in yellow; label the USA.)

-we will work in class on the review page on the back. Go through your notes, booklets and textbook (pp. 30-50) and classify important events (political, territorial, economic, socio-cultural).
