Dec. 14-18: Economic development, British period

Due on Monday (Red, Blue) and Tuesday, (Purple):
#1:
-250-word essay about effects of the fur trade;
-only use the documents provided;
-categorise documents based on which topic/paragraph they correspond to
-complete the task carefully;
-indicate each effect (2 marks) and explain why (2 marks).
This essay is worth 10% of your term 2 mark.

#2:
-if you had not handed in your paragraph(s)/vocabulary about the economy in New France, it is due in class, along with your essay.

#3:
-have you handed in your TTT diagram?


Starting the economy under the British:
-economic policy (protectionism) and continuity (the fur trade)
-notes, reading in booklet, p. 1 (answer questions).

All groups should have completed blue booklet in its entirety:
1-finish fur trade mind map (textbook, reading in booklet, notes);
2-read Economy of NF (p. 5-6)  & complete the three questions
3-complete 2 questions on the back
4-draw a diagram of Talon's Triangular Trade; follow these
instructions:
-draw in 3 regions (map it out) (NF, France, and the West Indies... don't forget the Atlantic)
-draw in the trade arrows and goods shipped
-1 drawing that represents each part of the trade triangle
-write a short caption for each area
-include a title and date
-include a line or two about the goal of Talon's Triangular Trade
-use p. 172 and your notes
